Rose Type: Floribunda
Sunbelt® Desmond Tutu™ produces elegant, deep to medium-red flowers that open from classic high-centered buds into large blooms approximately 4–4.5 inches across. Each flower carries around 40 petals and may appear both singly and in clusters throughout the season. The rich red blossoms stand out beautifully against glossy, dark green foliage, giving the plant a polished appearance even between bloom cycles.
A light fragrance accompanies the flowers, while the upright plant maintains a manageable size of approximately 3–4 feet tall and 2–3 feet wide. Strong disease resistance helps keep the foliage looking healthy, and the plant performs in full sun to part shade with moderate water needs. Its tolerance of both coastal conditions and some shade adds versatility when choosing a garden location.
