Farm Safety & Shop Policies
Farm Safety
We want every visit to Luna Rose Garden to be enjoyable, relaxing, and safe. Please remember that our rose garden is located on an active working farm and ranch, where animals, vehicles, equipment, and daily farm work are always on the move.
To help keep our guests, animals, staff, and property safe, we kindly ask everyone to follow these guidelines during their visit.
-
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
Our farm is located in a dry and often windy area of Cherry Valley, where fire danger can be especially high. Keeping the property smoke-free helps reduce the risk of wildfires and protects our farm and surrounding community.
-
Dogs and other personal pets are not permitted on the property.
Our ranch is home to livestock and working animals that may not react well to unfamiliar animals. Luna, our farm dog, is also trained to protect the property and livestock.
For everyone's safety, including your pets, we kindly ask that they remain at home.
-
We know our horses, cattle, and other farm animals can be fun to see, but they are privately owned and are not part of the rose garden experience.
Please do not approach, pet, or feed them.
Large livestock, especially our longhorn cattle, can be dangerous even when they are calm. Their size and horns require plenty of space, so please enjoy them from a safe distance.
-
We love seeing visitors take pictures of their favorite roses and memories from the garden!
Casual personal photography is welcome. However, professional, staged, or organized photo sessions require advance permission from our office and may require a small photography fee.
When sharing your visit online, don't forget to tag Luna Rose Garden on social media!
-
Our garden wagons are provided to help customers transport roses and other purchases while shopping.
For safety reasons, please do not allow children or adults to sit, stand, or ride inside the wagons.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
-
Please observe our 10 MPH speed limit while driving anywhere on the property.
Customers, staff, ranch workers, animals, equipment, and other vehicles may be moving throughout the farm, so please drive slowly and remain alert.
-
Luna Rose Garden is located toward the front of a much larger private working property.
Please remain within designated customer areas and follow all posted signs. Areas marked Private Property, Employees Only, or No Trespassing are not open to visitors.
Roads and pathways beyond the garden may lead to active ranch operations, equipment, livestock, and narrower private roads.
If you're unsure where to go, just ask a member of our staff!
-
Our garden is outdoors on natural farm property, so surfaces may occasionally be uneven.
Gophers and other wildlife can create holes around the property, and irrigation, rocks, gravel, and other natural obstacles may also be present.
Please watch where you walk and let one of our staff members know if you notice a hole, damaged pathway, or other potential hazard.
-
Cherry Valley is home to plenty of wildlife, including snakes.
If you see a snake or other potentially dangerous animal, do not approach, touch, or attempt to move it. Keep a safe distance and notify our staff immediately so we can handle the situation appropriately.
-
Children are always welcome with their families, but we ask that they remain supervised at all times.
Remember that this is an outdoor garden located on an active farm. Wildlife, livestock, moving vehicles, uneven surfaces, irrigation equipment, and thorny rose bushes are all part of the environment.
-
If something about your visit doesn't meet your expectations, please let us know.
Our staff will be happy to answer questions or connect you with a manager so we can better understand and address your concern.
We would much rather have the opportunity to help while you're here!
Shop Policies
Before making a purchase, please take a moment to review our shop policies. This section covers important information about pricing, sales and returns, and the payment methods we accept both at Luna Rose Garden and through our online shop.
As a small family-owned nursery, we appreciate your understanding and want every purchase to be as clear and straightforward as possible.
-
Because roses, other plants, soils, fertilizers, pesticides, and garden-care products can be affected by transportation, storage, planting, watering, weather, soil conditions, application methods, and ongoing care after leaving our nursery, all plant and garden product sales are final unless otherwise stated.
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for plants that experience problems after purchase, items that are no longer wanted, or products that have been opened or used.
Before a plant is sold, our team makes reasonable efforts to ensure it is healthy and suitable for sale. We are also happy to answer general care questions and help customers choose products or plants that may fit their garden needs before purchasing.
Please inspect plants and products before leaving the farm or accepting delivery, and let us know immediately if you notice any concerns at the time of purchase or receipt.

Luna Rose Farm is normally closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays. However, our team may still be working on the property during these days to care for plants, prepare orders, maintain the farm, and complete other behind-the-scenes operations.
For pickup orders, customers will be given a specific pickup deadline in their “Ready for Pickup” notification. The pickup period is based on the days the farm is open to the public, so our regular Monday and Tuesday closures will not reduce the amount of time available for pickup.
Please follow the pickup deadline provided with your order rather than assuming that closed days count against your pickup period. If additional time is needed, contact us before the stated deadline so we can determine whether an extension can be accommodated.
-
Unless otherwise stated, all monthly sales, promotional offers, discounts, free gifts, and giveaways are valid in store at Luna Rose Farm only and do not apply to purchases made through our website.
Online orders placed for pickup or local delivery are not eligible for in-store promotions unless the specific promotion clearly states that online purchases are included.
Promotional offers are subject to availability and may be limited to qualifying products, purchase amounts, dates, or other stated conditions. Free items and promotional products are available while supplies last.
-
Luna Rose Farm offers a selection of fertilizers, soils, pesticides, and other rose care products both in store and through our Rose Care Shop online.
These products are manufactured by independent brands and companies. Luna Rose Farm is a retailer/reseller and does not manufacture or formulate these products. Product claims, application rates, safety instructions, warranties, and other technical information are established by the manufacturer and should always be verified against the current product label and manufacturer directions.
Availability may vary throughout the season and while supplies last. For questions about whether a particular product is currently in stock, please visit the farm, check our online Rose Care Shop, or contact us during business hours.
-
Luna Rose Farm carefully reserves and maintains all plants purchased through our website until they are picked up. Customers who select Garden Pickup will be notified when their order is ready and will receive a specific pickup deadline.
Pickup orders are generally held for seven calendar days from the date of the ready-for-pickup notification. If additional time is needed, please contact us before the stated deadline. Extensions may be considered when arrangements are made in advance.
Because roses are living plants that require ongoing care and cannot be held indefinitely, orders that are not picked up within the designated pickup period and have no prior extension arrangement may be considered unclaimed and returned to available inventory.
All plant sales are final. Failure to pick up an order within the designated pickup period does not automatically qualify the order for a refund.
If Luna Rose Farm is unable to fulfill an order due to an inventory error or another issue on our end, we will contact the customer and work toward an appropriate resolution.
-
Local delivery is available to designated service areas within approximately 60 miles of Luna Rose Farm. Delivery availability is based on the customer’s address and will appear at checkout only when that address falls within one of our active delivery zones. If local delivery is not available at checkout, Garden Pickup will be required.
Because we handle deliveries ourselves, deliveries are generally scheduled for Mondays after 9:00 AM. Orders placed by Sunday at 12:00 PM will generally be scheduled for that Monday, subject to route capacity and availability. Orders placed after the cutoff may be moved to the following Monday. Exact arrival times are not guaranteed and may vary due to distance, traffic, weather, delivery volume, and other circumstances. We will contact the customer by phone on Monday with an arrival update.
Delivery fees are based on distance from the farm:
Delivery Zone 1 — 0–10 miles: $10
Delivery Zone 2 — 11–20 miles: $20
Delivery Zone 3 — 21–30 miles: $30
Delivery Zone 4 — 31–40 miles: $40
Delivery Zone 5 — 41–50 miles: $50
Delivery Zone 6 — 51–60 miles: $60
Availability within the 60-mile radius is not guaranteed for every address. Certain locations may be excluded based on route accessibility, travel time, distance, or other operational considerations.
A customer or authorized adult recipient must be present to accept the delivery and sign our Delivery Acknowledgment Form. Orders will not be left unattended.
Once the order has been delivered, inspected, accepted, and signed for, responsibility for the plants and their continued care transfers to the customer. Luna Rose Farm provides drop-off delivery only and does not include planting, landscaping, installation, or ongoing maintenance.
Luna Rose Farm is not responsible for damage, decline, or loss resulting from improper planting, watering, maintenance, environmental conditions, or work performed by gardeners, landscapers, or other third parties after delivery.
If delivery cannot be completed because the recipient is unavailable, access is restricted, or the delivery information provided is incorrect or incomplete, the order may need to be rescheduled or picked up at the farm. An additional delivery fee may apply for another delivery attempt.
All plant sales are final. Delivery delays or unsuccessful delivery attempts caused by circumstances outside Luna Rose Farm’s reasonable control do not automatically qualify an order for a refund.
If Luna Rose Farm makes an error with an order or is unable to complete delivery due to an issue on our end, we will contact the customer and work toward an appropriate resolution.
-
Many rose varieties at Luna Rose Farm are available in limited quantities, and some varieties may have only one or two plants remaining at any given time.
A rose is considered officially reserved only after payment has been successfully completed, whether through our website or in person at the farm. Phone calls, text messages, social media messages, verbal requests, or general inquiries about a rose do not guarantee that the plant will remain available.
Courtesy holds may occasionally be offered at our discretion. When a courtesy hold is approved, the customer will be given a specific deadline to complete the purchase or pick up the plant. We will make reasonable efforts to temporarily update the plant’s availability during the hold period. If the stated deadline passes without payment or prior arrangement, the rose may be released back into available inventory without further notice.
For especially limited inventory, including the last available plant of a variety, priority is given to the first customer who successfully completes payment. An unpaid inquiry or verbal request does not take priority over a completed purchase unless Luna Rose Farm has specifically confirmed an active courtesy hold.
Because inventory may be purchased both online and in person, there may occasionally be a short delay between an in-store sale, courtesy hold, and the website’s inventory update. In the rare event that two customers attempt to purchase the same final plant, priority will generally be based on the first successfully completed payment.
If an inventory conflict occurs after an online purchase has been completed, Luna Rose Farm will contact the affected customer as soon as reasonably possible. Depending on availability, we may offer a comparable rose variety, future availability, or another appropriate resolution.
This policy helps us manage limited rose inventory fairly and consistently while keeping availability as accurate as possible.
-
Prices shown on the Luna Rose Farm website may differ from prices offered in person at the farm.
Online pricing reflects the additional costs associated with maintaining and processing online sales, including payment-processing fees, website and e-commerce services, order administration, inventory management, and the added convenience of reserving and purchasing plants online.
Because operating costs, supplier pricing, and other business expenses may change over time, the difference between online and in-store pricing may also change. The price displayed through the selected purchasing method at the time of sale is the applicable price for that transaction.
In-store prices, promotions, discounts, giveaways, and other special offers do not automatically apply to online purchases unless specifically stated.
-
All listed prices at Luna Rose Farm are non-negotiable. We work carefully to price our roses, plants, and garden products fairly while supporting the costs of operating our small family-owned business.
Throughout the season, we may offer sales, discounts, giveaways, or other special promotions. Unless otherwise stated, these offers are available in store only and are subject to their individual terms and availability.
Our staff is always happy to let you know about any current promotions, but prices outside of an active advertised offer cannot be individually negotiated.
Thank You for Visiting!
Luna Rose Garden is proud to welcome visitors to our family farm. Following these simple guidelines helps us keep the garden safe, beautiful, and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you for respecting our property, our animals, our team, and each other. We hope you enjoy your visit and find a rose you love!
