Rose Type: Hybrid Tea
Ink Spots™ is a dramatic Hybrid Tea distinguished by some of the darkest coloring found in a garden rose. Nearly black, pointed buds slowly open into well-formed, velvety dark red blooms with a blackened appearance, giving the flowers their mysterious depth. The medium-large blooms reach approximately 4 inches across and contain 30–35 petals. Large, dark green foliage provides a handsome backdrop that makes the unusually dark flowers even more striking.
A slight rose fragrance accompanies the blooms, while the plant develops an upright to slightly spreading habit reaching about 3–4 feet tall. Ink Spots™ offers strong disease resistance and good heat tolerance, helping it remain a dependable garden performer through changing weather. While the plant handles warm conditions well, its flowers may become somewhat smaller during periods of high heat.
