Distant Drums is an unusually colored Floribunda with pointed brunette buds that open into softly ruffled blooms of warm tan washed with orchid pink along the outer petals. The flowers reach approximately 3–3.5 inches across and carry 35–40 petals, creating a layered blend of earthy and rosy tones that stands out beautifully against dark green foliage.
The blooms carry a noticeable myrrh fragrance, ranging from moderate to strong. Distant Drums grows with a rounded, upright habit and can reach approximately 4–6 feet tall, with strong practical disease resistance. It also performs well in heat and coastal conditions, adding useful adaptability to its distinctive coloring and fragrance.
