Rose Type: English Rose
Darcey Bussell® produces rich crimson-pink blooms that begin with an inner cup surrounded by a neat ring of outer petals, gradually opening into medium-sized rosettes. Each flower carries about 70 petals, creating a full, layered appearance. As the blooms age, the deep crimson coloring can develop a subtle mauve cast before the petals fall.
The flowers carry a light to medium fruity fragrance and repeat bloom in flushes from late spring through early winter. Darcey Bussell® forms a compact, bushy shrub about 3–4 feet tall and offers strong disease resistance, along with tolerance for heat, coastal conditions, and partial shade. Its flowers also perform well for cutting, while the tidy growth habit makes it suitable for borders and containers.
