Rose Type: Hybrid Tea
Centennial Star™ produces large, double blooms in rich golden yellow, accented by warm pink-to-red edging as the flowers open. The flowers reach about 5 inches across and carry approximately 70 petals, giving them a very full appearance reminiscent of Peace but with deeper coloring and a higher petal count. Dark green, glossy foliage provides a strong contrast to the bright flowers.
The blooms carry a strong fragrance and perform well for cutting and bringing indoors. Centennial Star™ grows with a tall, bushy habit to about 3–4 feet and offers very strong practical disease resistance along with good heat tolerance. Selected in recognition of the centennial of Star® Roses in 1997, it combines richly colored flowers with dependable garden performance.
