Gardner & Bloome® Organics Premium Planting Mix
Product Description
Gardner & Bloome® Organics Premium Planting Mix is an organic garden soil and soil amendment designed for in-ground planting and improving existing garden soil. Its woody, organic-rich texture helps loosen compacted soil while balancing moisture retention and drainage, creating a healthier environment for plant roots and beneficial soil microbes.
For roses, this planting mix can be blended with existing native soil when planting or transplanting bushes, helping improve soil structure around the developing root system. It is especially useful where garden soil is compacted, tired, or needs additional organic matter.
Key Benefits
Designed for general soil amending and in-ground planting
Helps loosen and improve compacted or tired soil
Supports a balance of moisture retention and drainage
Provides an environment that supports beneficial soil microbes
Suitable for planting roses, shrubs, flowers, vegetables, and other garden plants
OMRI Listed for organic use
Registered with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) as an Organic Input Material
How to Use
For new rose plantings, combine the planting mix with the existing native soil rather than filling the planting hole entirely with amendment. Gardner & Bloome's current directions recommend approximately 1 part Premium Planting Mix to 2 parts native soil for new plantings, followed by thorough watering.
For existing garden beds, spread the mix over the area and work it into the upper portion of the native soil before planting. Always follow the directions printed on the bag being used for the specific planting method.
When to Use
Premium Planting Mix can be used when:
Planting a new rose bush
Transplanting an established rose
Preparing a new garden bed
Improving compacted or depleted garden soil
Adding organic material to existing in-ground planting areas
Unlike fertilizer, this product is primarily intended to improve the planting environment and soil structure, so it does not follow a regular feeding schedule.

Good soil preparation can help create a better balance of drainage, moisture, and root aeration as the plant becomes established.
For best results, combine proper soil preparation with appropriate watering, sunlight, fertilizer, and seasonal rose care.
Additional Use & Safety Information
This product is intended primarily for in-ground gardening and soil amendment. For roses planted in containers, use a potting mix specifically intended for container growing unless the manufacturer directs otherwise.
Wear gardening gloves while handling soil products and wash hands with soap and water afterward. Store the bag in a dry location and follow all directions and precautions printed on the package.
